The Office Recap 4/27

This episode we learn that Dwight found half a joint in the parking lot of Dunder Mifflin. Dwight starts interrogating the entire staff to find out whose it is. Kevin is first. Dwight tells him of the symptoms one would have and it pretty much sums up Kevin in a nutshell, which is hilarious. Jim is doing impersonations for Pam; he does the entire office.

Kelly is the next to be interrogated. Apparently she went to a party with Ryan on Saturday night. Dwight finds Ryan and tells him to give him the keys to his car so he can search it. Michael tells Dwight he needs to take a chill pill. Michael calls Dwight a narc and Dwight thanks him, because being a narc is one of the hardest jobs one can have.

Dwight finds out that Oscar visited Mexico when he was five for his great grandmother's funeral, so now he thinks he was a drug mule. He asks Oscar if he's ever "pooped a balloon." Jim is interrogated and says that maybe it was Dwight's joint. Marijuana is a memory loss drug, so maybe he just doesn't remember smoking it. How could he really know? Pam tells Oscar that Jim does an awesome Stanley impersonation, so Jim does it for him and Stanley walks in.

Jim and Pam both do a Stanley impersonation at the same time, so Pam says jinx and tells Jim that he's not allowed to talk until he buys her a coke. Those are the rules. Unfortunately for Jim, the coke is sold out which has never happened in the history of jinx.

Dwight starts questioning Angela, warning her that he's going to treat her just like everyone else. He starts questioning her while yelling; she likes it and smiles.Drug testers are now coming in to test everyone's urine. Dwight says it's company policy. Michael is worried because he smoked a "clove cigarette" from a girl with a lip ring at an Alicia Keys concert two nights ago. Kelly starts talking to Jim and she won't shut up, but he can't stop her because he still can't talk.

Michael has a staff meeting in hopes of getting out of taking the urine test. He writes a list of some illegal drugs on a piece of paper. Toby tells him that hookah is not illegal. Michael wants a volunteer to share a story of a relative or a friend who has had a problem with one of the drugs on the list. Pam informs Michael that Jim knows someone who got caught up in the world of drugs. Michael tells him to share, but Jim still can't talk so he pretends to cry because it's too hard to share.

Pam is very impressed with Jim, especially the tears. The point Michael is trying to make is that he hates drugs and everyone else doesn't quite hate them as much. Because of that, he is not going to take the test and everyone else is. Dwight tells him he has to. Michael tells Dwight that he needs his urine and informs him of the Alicia Keys concert incident. Dwight says it's illegal to do that. Dwight tells Angela that Michael needs his urine and she says she's not giving him her approval.

Dwight doesn't want to do it, but he looks up to Michael so he does. But he feels so bad that he quits his job as a volunteer sheriff's deputy. Jam (Jim & Pam) have a cute/awkward moment when Pam tries to get Jim to talk and tells him that he can tell her anything.

Michael feels bad for making Dwight give him his urine and how he quit his volunteer job. Pam gives Jim a coke and tells him to buy it for her because she hasn't talked to him in hours and she wants to know what's going on with Dwight. Michael tells Dwight he's making him the official security supervisor of the branch. It's his way of apologizing. Dwight is very happy and thanks him. Jim wants to know why Dwight does the things that he does for Michael. He doesn't understand what he's getting out of that relationship. Obviously we're supposed to wonder the same thing about his relationship with Pam right here.
