The Office's Craig Robinson Pleads Guilty to Ecstasy Possession
Craig Robinson, who plays Darryl on NBC's hit show, The Office, plead guilty to possession of ecstasy Wednesday. By doing this, the 36-year-old was able to receive a plea bargain from the district attorney of Los Angeles.
For those of you who don't spend an inordinate amount of time watching Law & Order, pleading down will likely get Robinson a reduced sentence that won't include jail time.
In return for the ecstasy plea, charges of methamphetamine possession and a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence were dropped.
The case, as a whole, will be dropped if Robinson stays clean for 18 months and completes drug couseling. But, as is the case with drug addicts (as Robinson reportedly is), this is easier said (or, in my case, written) than done.
The actor's attorney, Blair Berk, said: "Mr. Robinson really appreciates and takes seriously the opportunity which has been given to him by the court and the prosecution to have all of the charges against him dismissed, upon successful completion of a counseling program."
