Officials Raid Home of Jackson's Doctor
Police from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, along with agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, obtained a warrant and searched Dr. Conrad Murray's Las Vegas home Tuesday morning to gain further information on Michael Jackson's death.
A law enforcement official told FOXNews.com that investigators believe Murray gave Jackson a fatal dose of propofol before the pop icon's death at his mansion on June 25.
On Monday, the Associated Press reported that law enforcement sources said Murray told police that he gave Jackson the drug.
Propofol is an anesthetic that is used to put people down before surgery. Doctors rarely use it outside of a hospital.
ABC News reported that it has learned that Jackson's death was caused from a host of prescription drugs including OxyContin and Demerol, but that propofol ultimately ended the "King of Pop's" life.
While Murray is the subject of a manslaughter investigation, he is not yet considered a suspect. He became Jackson's personal physician in May and was going to accompany him on his London tour, which was to begin this month.
Murray's Houston clinic was raided last week.
