O.J. Alleges Misconduct in Appeal

Simpson says justice was not served.

Controversial ex-footballer, pitchman and actor O.J. Simpson submitted an appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court Tuesday, asking them to overturn his conviction for armed robbery and kidnapping, according to ABC News.

Simpson alleges he did not receive a fair trial, citing judicial misconduct, insufficient evidence, improper jury instructions, flaws in sentencing and poor racial diversity on the jury who tried him. Fox5vegas.com reports much of Simpson's 47-page appeal blames Jackie Glass, the Clark County District Court judge who presided over Simpson's trial, for the errors. The appeal also claims prosecutors improperly questioned witnesses about intimidation allegations.

Simpson was convicted after a 2007 encounter and botched robbery with sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room, according to ABC. Upon his conviction, Simpson was sentenced to serve 9 to 33 years in jail, reports TMZ.

The Nevada Supreme Court has not disclosed whether or not it will hear Simpson's appeal.
