The Olsen Twins Worked For Gummy Bears on "Full House"
The acting skills of young Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were quite impressive to those who watched "Full House" and saw the twins grow up on screen. If you've ever wondered how the toddlers managed to act so well, Mary-Kate is spilling the beans.
According to People.com, Mary-Kate mentioned that she and sister Ashley received gummy bears in exchange for their performance on set.
As for who would perform in a scene, "It was basically who wouldn't cry in front of the camera," said Mary-Kate, who spoke to Interview Magazine for their March issue.
The twins, in order to get their scenes done, "would get little gummy bears," she said, "cut into three pieces. And we'd crawl to the gummy bear or reach for it ... The outtakes of Full House are pretty funny."
The Olsen twins still catch "Full House" reruns every so often. "Last year, Ashley spent the night at my place and I woke up to the theme song at seven in the morning. I was like, 'What are you doing?'"
Mary-Kate also spoke about how she and her sister shared their identity when they were young. "If my sister and I did an appearance, we would be wearing the same outfit," she says of their early teens. "It would be the same dress and we'd fight over who would wear it in red and who would wear it in black."
