Oprah to Make Documentary Based on Her Final Season

Oprah will not only be hosting the last season of her talk show, she will also be making a documentary.

In January 2011, Oprah debuted the last season of The Oprah Winfrey Show, but that’s not all she has been working on. According to The New York Times, Oprah will also be appearing on OWN in Behind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season,” which is a documentary that will show a behind the scenes look of her talk show.

Oprah is the highest-rated talk show in American television history, and it is also currently the longest-running daytime television talk show in the United States. It has been on the air since Sept 8, 1986, and has had thousands of episodes.

At first, OWN was not able to have Oprah on their network because of details in Oprah’s contract, prohibiting her from appearing on a similar show until hers goes off the air. This behind the scenes documentary was OWN’s loophole around that clause in the contract.
