The world's most powerful woman took a break from work to catch some Z's. Zen that is.

The Associated Press reported Oprah Winfrey meditated with about 400 women in southeastern Iowa Wednesday. The trip served to showcase Oprah's spiritual side.

The 57-year-old was at the Maharishi School in Fairfield when she made the surprise visit. Suzanne Stryker was also at the school and said Winfrey arrived with a film crew.

The Chicago Tribune reported Maharishi School is a private meditation school that specializes in "consciousness-based education" for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The school's director, Richard Beall, wrote on the school's website that the OWN network CEO talked to the students about her spiritual journey and added the school will talk more about the visit at a special discussion Monday night.

In the past, Winfrey has said that her role as a spiritual leader is one of the most important to her.

"I am the messenger to deliver the message of redemption, of hope, of forgiveness, of gratitude, of evolving people to the best of themselves. So I am on my personal journey. My personal journey is to fulfill the highest expression of myself here as a human being here on earth,” she said.

What other lessons there are to be learned from Winfrey?

Although this isn't confirmed, the footage from her meditation visit will most likely be on her show Oprah's Lifeclass, which airs weeknights on 8/7 central on OWN.
