Oprah wanted for guest spot on 'Parks and Recreation'

Former "Queen of Daytime" Oprah Winfrey may have said goodbye to her talk show, but if Parks and Recreation's Nick Offerman has anything to do with it, she will be saying hello to the town of Pawnee, Indiana.

Offerman's character on the show, Ron Swanson, has an ex-wife named Tammy who will make an appearance on the show's fourth season. The Huffington Post says that the show is currently on the hunt for the actress to play Tammy.

"We're trying to start a campaign to get Oprah to play Tammy One. I think Oprah would be the only, she's the only person we can think of that might be intimidating to Megan Mullally [Offerman's real life wife and who plays Swanson's current wife who is also named Tammy]. It would be so good."

If Winfrey decides to guest star on the show, it will not be the first time that she has appeared on a show during NBC's Thursday night line up. She was once a guest star on 30 Rock.

Digital Spy says that Mullally has started a Facebook page to campaign for Winfrey to appear on the show.

"I actually think it would be amazing because Oprah is such an amazing actor and I'm sure she could play someone who is really scary. Who knows, it could be a fun turn now that she's got time on her hands." commented Offerman.
