Oprah Winfrey has chosen the January issue of O Magazine to mark a milestone in the publication’s existence: having the first man on the cover!
So who was chosen as the first man to join Oprah on the cover? Dr. Oz.
"The January issue is all about firsts. I met Dr. Oz in 2003 as his first guest on 'Second Opinion' -- a medical series he and his wife, Lisa, created for the Discovery Channel. Now here we are, over eight years later. ... What can I say? I adore Dr. Oz," Oprah told People.
The former host of The Oprah Winfrey Show continues on to praise Dr. Oz, saying “As we toast to a new year and encourage readers to take the first step toward a happier, healthier life, who better to help us get on the right path than my dear friend and America's doctor, Dr. Oz."
Meanwhile, Winfrey is still having some issues with her network, OWN. A year after mediocre ratings, Winfrey talked to Dr. Oz about the possibility of having regret about ending her run on her iconic show to run her network.
“I don't miss doing the show everyday ... I miss the audience, I miss the people," she explained, Radar Online reports.
“Let me tell you: Running a network is challenging ... can y'all please find it on your channels?" she pleaded. Although by some standards she isn’t exactly excelling at the network, she maintained "You have to be committed because, you know, I signed a deal. I'm going to do it."
