OutKast Member Arrested for Speeding
Like Sammy Hagar, Andre 3000 of OutKast can't drive 55.
According to E! News, the rapper was arrested in Georgia on Saturday for driving his 2007 Porsche Carrera a surprising 109 miles per hour, in a 65 mph zone.
"Traveling that fast along I-75, you are passing vehicles almost like they're standing still," Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton said. "And it's an accident waiting to happen."
The rapper, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, told the police he had missed his exit while on his way to a birthday party and had hurriedly turned around. He was arrested, and subsequently released a few hours later on $1,200 dollars bail. His court date is scheduled for April 29.
The six-time Grammy Winner is best known for his hits "Hey Ya!," "Ms. Jackson," and "Roses" with his OutKast partner, Big Boi. He has also appeared in such movies as Idylwild and Four Brothers.
