Outkast readies new album, movie
Duo set to release first album in 3 years
Hey-yahThat is what many Outkast fans are saying as the duo announced plans to release their new album on Aug. 22. "Mighty-O" the first single off the album will be released two weeks earlier.
The new album entitled, Idlewild, will serve as the soundtrack to the movie musical by the same name. Andre 3000 and Big Boi will star as a club owner and his piano player partner, trying to hold off gangsters in their quest to make it big. The movie is set in 1930's Georgia.
This will be the first collaboration between Andre 3000 and Big Boi, in six years. 2003's Grammy-winning "Speakerboxx/The Love Below," was a two-disc, which featured the artists individually.
