It looks like the group, Outkast, may have to wait to release any new material. Antwan "Big Boi" Patton, who makes up half of the Grammy-winning group, was arrested in Miami this afternoon on drug charges.
When leaving a cruise ship, Patton came face to face with police dogs who recognized the smell of drugs. Police then found Viagra, which he did not have a prescription for, as well as Ecstasy pills and MDMA powder, which is the main ingredient in Ecstasy.
Patton's attorney, Daniel Kane, said in a statement, "While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated."
Bond was set at $16,000 at the Pre-Trial Detention Center in Miami.
Patton and his other half of Outkast, Andre 3000, allegedly have had a strained relationship in the past, but a friend recently told CNN that the two were working together. Patton has been touring with Cee Lo Green.
