Ozzy Osbourne Adds Author to His Resume

Rock icon Ozzy Osbourne has released an autobiography entitled "I Am Ozzy."

It’s hard to imagine that Ozzy Osbourne has waited this long to release an autobiography about his iconic career. Covering his original days with Black Sabbath to his family’s stint on the outrageous reality show The Osbournes, Ozzy co-wrote his newly released autobiography I Am Ozzy with writer Chris Ayres.

According to NPR Music, the book even comes with a disclaimer of sorts. In it, Osbourne admits that his history with substance abuse may have affected his recollection of certain memories. Therefore, he acknowledges that others may recall specific events differently.

In the autobiography, Ozzy reveals that his biggest inspiration was none other than the Beatles. He also recalls what it meant to meet Paul McCartney for the first time.

He additionally discusses the motivation behind some of Black Sabbath’s frightening lyrics. And naturally, Ozzy can’t help but address the time he controversially bit off the heads of both a dove and a bat. Looking back on it, the singer wishes the public would disregard the incident all together.

Ozzy’s famous wife, Sharon, is also heavily featured throughout the autobiography. It is very evident through reading the book that the pair is still very much in love.
