Ozzy Osbourne Documentary On the Way

Jack Osbourne, Ozzy's son, will produce.

Ozzy Osbourne will be the subject of a documentary that his son is on board to produce, according to multiple sources.

The currently untitled feature will discuss the former Black Sabbath singer (and, later on, solo artist) and reality-TV star (from The Osbournes, which seemed to shock everyone who watched).

The film will be directed by Mike Piscitelli, and written/produced by Jordan Tappis. It will be released on Jacko Productions, which is a film company started by Jack Osbourne.

Sharon Osbourne will co-executive produce, along with Jack. The documentary will film Ozzy's 60th birthday on Dec. 3 (one day after the Britney Spears album is released, which we just wrote about) as a sort of a jump off point that will tell the larger story that Jack believes is out there about his father.

"MTV couldn't show the darkness and so they used all the goofy things, but that's not really who he was at the time," Jack Osbourne said. "Dad has been sober for three years, and I've never seen him more focused, honest and straight-up. He refuses to do a book, because he's terribly dyslexic, can't write and doesn't want a ghostwriter, so I thought, why not make this his talking book?"
