Palin and Prejean: A Likely Friendship
It seems that not everyone in America wishes to condemn Carrie Prejean. Former Vice Presidential candidate and Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin has taken the pageant girls side, calling out liberals for their comments, according to thehuffingtonpost.com.
"The liberal onslaught of malicious attacks against Carrie Prejean for expressing her opinion is despicable," Palin said. "What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama believemarriage is between a man and a woman."
Her reaction comes weeks after Prejean was asked her feelings on same-sex marriage. Since then, Miss California has been criticized, most notably by Perez Hilton, who asked Prejean her opinion. In addition, the girl has raised eyebrows by joining the National Organization for Marriage.
But despite the hype, Palin has reached out to Prejean, giving her a call and advice.
"Our Constitution protects us allnot just those who agree with the far left," Palin said.
