Palin to Do Saturday Night Live This Weekend
After weeks of being the butt of Tina Fey's jokes about the 2008 election, Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin will appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend, according to CNN.
It is not certain if Fey will appear on Saturday's program. She has remained noncommittal in her statements to the media and maintained that her NBC program, 30 Rock, remains her priority.
Saturday Night Live's season premiere featured Fey's return to the program as Palin alongside her Baby Mama co-star, Amy Poehler, who played Hillary Clinton. Fey made fun of Palin's recent media attention.
"I can see Russia from my house!" Fey exclaimed, referring to Palin's statement that her state's proximity to Russia contributes to her foreign policy experience.
Fey returned to the program twice to continue her spoof of Palin. In her second appearance, Fey mocked Palin's highly-publicized interview with Katie Couric, using several of the politician's exact quotes to parody her.
In her third appearance, Fey focused on the vice presidential debate. At the end of the fake debate, Fey referenced Palin's stint as a beauty queen when she pulled out a flute and asked, "Are we not doing the talent portion?"
Palin has had only positive things to say about Fey and her portrayal.
"I love her, she's a hoot and she's so talented," Palin said earlier this week, according to the Associated Press.
"It would be fun to meet her, imitate her and keep on giving her new material."
Saturday Night Live airs on Saturdays at 11:30 P.M. EST.
