Pandora NBC Skating Series

This weekend, the Pandora NBC Skating Series begins on NBC. Each skating special features top talent from around the world, including several Olympic medalists and world champions.

The first special airs on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 4 p.m. EST. This will be the third year of Improv-Ice, which will be hosted by 1988 Olympic Champion and two-time World Champion Brian Boitano, as well as 1968 Olympic Champion and three-time World Champion Peggy Fleming. Rock group Styx, best known for hits like “Lady” and “Mr. Roboto,” will perform the music for the show as special guests. Skaters include 2006 Olympic Silver Medalist Sasha Cohen, two-time Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan and 2010 Olympian Jeremy Abbott.

The second special is the Pandora Unforgettable Moments of Love on Ice and airs on Feb. 4. The event will be performed on Jan. 26 at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA. Kerrigan and 1992 Olympic Champion Kristi Yamaguchi will host the event. Kenny G and Gladys Knight will be on hand to perform during the show. Skaters include Two-time Olympic Pairs Champion Ekaterina Gordeeva, 2010 Olympic Bronze Medalist Joannie Rochette, Cohen, and 1998 Olympic Champion Ilia Kulik. The special brings romance to the ice and is perfectly timed to air just before Valentine’s Day.
