Paris Hilton and Cy Waits break up

Socialite Paris Hilton and Cy Waits, who is a boss at a Las Vegas club, have split after dating for over a year.

On Hilton's show, According to Paris, she is seen lashing out at Waits in a club.

A source tells UsMagazine.com, "They are broken up. It's sad. She cares about him a lot and thinks he's a great guy but they really hit a rough patch."

During their time together, Hilton was arrested for cocaine, Waits fought off an intruder at her home in Hollywood, and he was attacked last April outside a courthouse in L.A. when he came to support his girlfriend as she testified against the intruder.

Hilton appeared on Lopez Tonight and told host George Lopez how she still wants to be friends with Waits, even though they broke up.

"We're not together anymore. I love him and we remain really good friends ... I feel like the relationship ran its course and we'll see what happens," she said.
