Paris Hilton does not owe millions

Some suspected that Paris Hilton would owe money ($8.3 million) in damages on her film, "Pledge This!" which failed at the box office, but it is not so, according to the Washington Post. Receiver for the Worldwide Entertainment Group Michael Goldberg planned to sue Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment, alleging that she did not make any effort to promote her film. U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno stated the claim was false and backed up Hilton's testimony that she did her best to make the film known to the public. He revealed that the film was "hardly destined for critical acclaim" and that the movie's flop wasn't altogether unexpected. Moreno further alleged that the film wasn't due for much success because the "inexperienced" producers did not market the production in the best way possible.

Although the plea for Hilton to hand over $8 million as a result of the lawsuit is defunct, she may still have to give up her $1 million salary she made making the movie.
