Paris Hilton opens up about split with Cy Waits

Paris Hilton and boyfriend of over a year Cy Waits recently split. For the first time since the breakup, Hilton has decided to discuss the relationship.

According to Perez Hilton, the socialite remarked, “When I was a little girl, I always imagined I’d be married with kids by now. It’s not where I thought I’d be. I’m 30, and I’m by myself.”

“By watching the show, I got an outside perspective of our relationship. I realized that yes, I love him and he’s one of my best friends, but I needed to make sure he was the one. When I realized I wasn’t certain, I knew I had to end it.”

“I regret putting so much of my relationship with Cy on the series. I want to be married and pregnant in two to five years, but first I have to work through my trust issues.”

Earlier today, Waits told People, “This breakup is something I knew for a number of months needed to happen.”

He continued, “In my next relationship I expect honesty, strong values, true communication, commitment, mutual trust and respect, something I didn't necessarily have recently.”
