Paris Hilton's Cocaine Possession Arrest Might Cost Her Paid Appearances in Sin City

Nightclub insiders in Las Vegas, Nevada say Paris Hilton won't be booking paid appearances any time soon

People.com reports that Paris Hilton’s pay-to-party days may be numbered in Las Vegas, Nevada, the location of her most recent drug bust.

Considering in the past, Hilton has been known to pull in a staggering six figures just to show up at a club to generate publicity (she was paid $125,000 to hold her 25th birthday party at a Vegas hot-spot), the publicity the heiress might bring now is too risky for club executives to gamble.

Recently, the Gaming Control Board put out a Las Vegas club, drugs being among the reasons. Apparently in Nevada, liquor licenses are closely watched by regulators.

After her arrest last weekend, Hilton’s name may be associated with drug use and those who have booked her in the past might not want to take the risk of getting shut down.

Says an insider who has booked Hilton previously, "A club would never be allowed to book Paris for an appearance right now," adding, "A club would want to book her because of the press it would generate right now, but it would never happen because no one wants to jeopardize gaming licensing or liquor licensing."

Another club executive said, “Considering she's busted for cocaine, people might assume that she's going to the club either to use coke or she's already on coke, and no club wants to be associated with that."
