His says of his Sundance Film Festival debut, some days I "didn't want to show up"

Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey decided to try something other than acting for his new film, Flypaper. The film is a comedy about a bank robbery, and Patrick Dempsey was one of its producers. It stars Dempsey as well as Ashley Judd and Tim Blake Nelson.

NPR reports that while Dempsey was promoting the film at the Sundance Film Festival this week, he described his experience as producers as “painful.” He also claimed that there were days when he “didn’t want to show up.”

The 45-year-old actor did say that in the end the experience was “very good” and he’s glad he stepped outside of his comfort zone. He also added that the chances of him producing another film are “very good.”

Dempsey is still on the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy and is also acting in the Transformers film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
