Patrick Dempsey's leaving 'Grey's'?!

Rumors circled the internet, but it doesn't seem to be true.

After rumors stampeded the internet about Patrick Dempsey leaving the cast of Grey’s Anatomy, it turns out that might not actually be the case.

When Dempsey told Italy’s Vanity Fair that the upcoming season of Grey’s was “gonna be his last,” fans were devastated (and understandably so!)

But thankfully, it seems like Dr. McDreamy just used a poor choice of words.

“He was referring to the fact that his contract is up at the end of next season and we have no idea what the future holds,” the heart-throb’s rep told E! News.

So Dempsey is pretty much as much in the dark as fans are…as is the rest of the cast.

"It might be the last hurrah for a lot of them; you never know," Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes told TVLine.com. "Everybody has an individual choice to make and I get that."
