Patrick Swayze Is Alive Despite Rumors

After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, actor Patrick Swayze has not been pronounced dead. A false rumor Tuesday morning widely circulated indicating that Swayze had passed away from this disease.

According to msnbc.com, Swayze's rep, Annette Wolf said, "This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida." Furthermore Wolf stated, "Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment."

Currently, Swayze is the star of the A&E drama, The Beast. It is reported that while undergoing chemotherapy, Swayze worked 12 hour days on the series which premiered in January 2009.

When Swayze spoke to People magazine in March 2009, he said, "I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time."
