FOXSports.com reports the New England Patriots have cut veteran wide receiver Joey Galloway. Galloway, 37, has played in the NFL for 15 seasons. The Patriots attempted to trade Galloway before Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET trade deadline for the 2009 season.
According to the Tampa Tribune, Galloway signed a one-year $1.75 million contract with the Patriots after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This season, he has been limited to just seven passes for 67 yards.
Rotoworld.com states the Kansas Chiefs, coming off their first win of the season against the Washington Redskins, may be interested in signing the veteran wide receiver. Chiefs coach Todd Haley has been dissatisfied with his wide receiving corps since training camp.
