Pattinson says he is not the romantic type

Robert Pattinson, the current "Teen beat" star of the moment claims that he is not like his "Twilight" character Edward when it comes to romance.

People think that the way someone is on the big screen then that's the way they are in real life. Pattinson couldn't agree with this statement less. His fans mostly female believe that he is as mysterious and passionate as his vampire image, but that's just not the case.

While promoting his latest film "New Moon" the second film in the "Twilight" saga, he told a reporter when asked that he is a bit wimpy when it comes to being romantic. He said that he can't remember a single romantic thing he has done, the one he does was when he was 15. He put a flower in a girl's locker and another guy took credit for it, which he joked about as being great.

Despite what he says, he is a firm believer in on screen romance, and laughs it off that it is only for women. "I've watched "Titanic" and I didn't think, 'Oh, this is a girl's film. I felt like the storyline in "New Moon" is very heartbreaking and true. I didn't think I was doing something just for the sake of romance" said Pattinson according People.com.
