Paula Abdul cut from Ugly Betty

After deciding to leave the current season of "American Idol," Paula Abdul had her sights set on ABC's sitcom, "Ugly Betty." However, ABC executives have announced that Abdul will not be guest starring because talks between the studio and Abdul didn't go as planned. If Abdul had been part of an episode, there were rumors that she would portray a friend to the character of Amanda who works at Mode magazine. Some suggest that the reason the negotiations were made null is because of Abdul's want to hold on an offer to return to "American Idol."

TMZ.com even reported that Abdul was very eager to return to her former judging position. Yet despite her absence, the Daily Mail reports that Victorian Beckham may be receiving a $3 million contract to remain on the show. Beckham has already been present for two rounds of auditioning at Boston.
