Paula Abdul May Not Be Back For Season 9 of 'American Idol'

Contract Negotiations are not under way.

It looks as if the loyal fans of "American Idol" are not the only ones shocked by Ryan Seacrest's $45 million contract with the show. Paula Abdul's manager, David Sonenberg, tells the New York Daily News that the judge is hurt and upset that there have been no contract negotiations for her.

The three-year contract would enable Seacrest, who has been hosting the show for all eight seasons, to stay on as host. Abdul has been one of the three judges for all eight seasons along with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. That is, until "Idol" brought in new judge Kara DioGuardi this past season. DioGuardi has expressed that she wants to come back, but at the time there have been no negotiations for her either.

Currently, Cowell, Jackson and Seacrest are the only people who are coming back for the ninth season. With auditions are staring soon, it is being said that Abdul probably won't be back.
