In OK! magazine she dishes on her neurological disorder and responds to critics.

In the most recent issue of OK! magazine, Paula Abdul admitted that American Idol helped her find her purpose in life. "I knew since I was a little girl that I had this profound way of touching people. My purpose is bringing out everybody's best and being that cheerleader to other people's success," she said. Paula revealed that to her, she is more proud of her work as a judge on Idol than of her music career.

Abdul also spoke out on her neurological disorder, a condition whose symptoms include making her incredibly tired. In response to some critics' statements on Paula's interesting behavior lately, she said, "If I appear exhausted on television, it's because I am! I have a lot of sleepless nights because I'm in so much pain."

She also responded to claims that she is addicted to drugs and often drunk on the show. "I'm sick of it. I've never been drunk. I don't do recreational drugs. It's defamation of character."

With an energetic attitude, she'll continue working as a judge, and beat her reflex sympathetic dystrophy neurological disorder.
