Paula Abdul stays mum on Star Search rumors

Could Star Search be getting a little taste of American Idol?

We certainly don’t know and apparently Paula Abdul doesn’t either. The former Idol judge didn’t deny or confirm rumors that she was joining the revamped Star Search.

On Tuesday afternoon, Paula posted on Twitter, “Once again, until you hear it from me, you can’t believe what you read ;) Lots of love!”

Entertainment Weekly reported earlier this week that Paula was “finalizing a deal” to become a part of the popular show that's original run was from 1983 to 1995. Perhaps Star Search is best known as the launching pad for Beyonce, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake as they were featured on the show before they became famous.

If everything went according to plan, the show would hit television in the summer and Abdul would be a combination judge and host.

ABC didn’t comment on this ongoing situation.

Abdul has previously been linked to Dancing with the Stars and X Factor.
