Paula Abdul will be on 'Idol' says Cowell

With rumors swirling that Paula Abdul won't be on 'Idol' this season, Simon Cowell sets the record straight.

This past weekend headlines all around had one thing in common...Paul Abdul and her fate on "American Idol." Her manager David Sonenberg released a statement saying, "Very sadly, it does not appear that she's going to be back on Idol."

When asked by Extra about the whole Abdul "Idol" rumor, Simon Cowell had a different tune about Abdul's return to "Idol."

"She'll be fine. She'll be on the show. I don't get a lot of say. I've just made it clear that I want Paula on the show," Cowell told Extra via Us Magazine.

"I think as far as I know, you'll see everybody back. I hope so," host Ryan Seacrest added.

With the whole controversy about Abdul's return to "Idol" appearing everywhere, a "Keep Paula" campaign has been launched on Twitter.

Matt Giraud, Anoop Desai and Danny Gokey are a few of the past "American Idol" contestants to join the Twitter campaign.

After seeing the support from everyone, Abdul tweeted about it.

"I'm actually moved 2 tears upon reading the enormous amount of tweets showing me your kindness, love & undying support. God bless all you! If it weren't for you, this specific time and situation would feel a lot worse! XoP."
