Perez Hilton's initial remarks on Michael Jackson's hospitalization causes a Twitter backlash.

Upon hearing about the cardiac arrest of the late Michael Jackson, Perez Hilton released insensitive remarks that caused anger in many of his readers. Hilton posted a photo of Jackson with the words, "Heart attack or Cold Feet," above his head. Perez went on to make light of the situation, claiming that it may just be a publicity stunt.

"He was dragging his heels on that just like his upcoming 50 date London residency at the O2 Arena, of which he already postponed the first few dates!!!Either he's lying or making himself sick, but we're curious to see if he's able to go on!!!Get your money back, ticket holders!!!!"

This has resulted in thousands of fans coming together to create an "Unfollowperezhilton" trend on Twitter. A few celebrities have even joined in on this cause, including the MTV star, Tila Tequila, who started a blog with the intent of taking Perez Hilton down.
