PETA Says Oprah Is No. 1
Oprah Winfrey has been announced as PETA's "Person of the Year."
The animal-rights group, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has given the Person of the Year honor to Winfrey, according to yahoo.com.
Whenever Winfrey has something to say, people listen.
She used her "powerful voice to defend those without one," PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk said Friday.
The group will send Winfrey an award plaque and a letter of appreciation.
