Musician Pete Doherty gave a lecture at Dublin's Trinity College on Friday evening and admitted he found fatherhood difficult, reports Press Association.
The Babyshambles front man gave an intimate and informal talk at the University's Philosophical Society and touched on his relationship with his young son, Astile, whom he had with ex-girlfriend Lisa Moorish.
"It's quite difficult, a difficult subject really. I don't know if I am so much of a father to be honest, I don't think I spend enough time with him to warrant being called that, which is pretty much why I had his name put on my neck. I see so little of him, and I do so little for him, that that's my feeble way of saying I love you."
Doherty is recovering from drug-related problems and lives in a mansion in Wiltshire, England, which he has recently claimed is haunted.
Babyshambles are set to return soon.
