Petty hits skateboarder, locked up on suspicion of drunken driving

Actress Lori Petty was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the 45-year-old actress was driving at 9:30 p.m. in Venice when she hit a skateboarder, said Bruce Borihanh a Los Angeles Police Officer. The sidewalk surfer, who suffered minor injuries, was treated at the scene and released.

Known for roles in "A League of Their Own," "Tank Girl" and "Point Break," Petty spent around five hours in the Van Nuys jail before posting $100,000 bail, reports KTLA.com.

According to E! Online, the early 90s film star made a recent guest appearance on the hit FOX series "Prison Break."
