Pharmacists Warned Anna Nicole Smith About "Pharmaceutical Suicide"
According to unsealed court papers filed by the State of California and obtained by the Los Angeles Times Monday, Anna Nicole Smith's doctors were warned by three pharmacists about the combination of medication.
The investigation focuses on Smith's doctors, psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich and internist Sandeep Kapoor and the role they played in Smith's death of overdose in February 2007.
Howard K. Stern, Smith's boyfriend at the time of her death and the doctors are not being charged in the death of Anna Nicole Smith. Stern and Kappor have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to illegally provide her with controlled substances when they knew she was addicted to them. There is also evidence that both doctors had sexual contact with their patient.
Stern and Kappor were arrested on Thursday on charges of conspiracy to provide drugs to Smith, and were released on $20,000 bail. Kapoor has not been charged.
