Phelps Breathes Sigh of Relief

Olympic swimmer breathes a sigh of relief after no charges are filed against him.

After a photo surfaced of Michael Phelps, Olympic gold medalist, smoking from a marijuana pipe, he seemed to have been left high and dry by the media, and Kellogg's dropped him from their ad campaign.

However, Phelps is breathing a little easier now after a South Carolina sheriff reported that no charges would be filed against him for the photo, taken at a party back in November at the University of South Carolina. A British paper leaked the photo earlier this month, causing an uproar in the media and getting Phelps a three-month suspension from the U.S. swim team.

USA's golden boy has won a total of 14 gold medals for swimming with 8 in Beijing in 2008 and 6 in Athens in 2004. In a public apology, he said that smoking from the pipe was a big mistake and he would learn from it.
