Phelps Not Completely Fault-Free
Olympic swimmer and gold-medalist Michael Phelps, who was involved in a minor fender-bender in Baltimore last week, was deemed "not at-fault" by police. However, he was given a citation for driving on an expired license. The one he was driving with was from his former state of residence, Michigan. Fortunately for Phelps, he was not under the influence of a significant amount of alcohol, and did not receive a second DUI charge. However, this latest violation will land him an undisclosed court date at some point in the near future.
Phelps, who has won a whopping 14 gold medals in the last two Summer Olympics, seems to have a way with trouble. In 2004, Phelps received a DUI for drunk driving, and in 2008, photographs of him smoking marijuana out of a bong spread throughout the Internet and other media faster than he can swim a 100-meter Butterfly.
