Phil Spector Looking for Sentence Reduction

Spector wants some time back for murder conviction.

Phil Spector's lawyers are seeking a prison sentence reduction from 19 years-to-life to 15 years-to-life. Spector, famous for his "Wall of Sound" recordings, was sentenced for second-degree murder in 2003.

According to Nme.com, Spector will be sentenced tomorrow for 19-years-to-life; four of these years for using a gun. His second-degree murder charge has a mandatory sentence of 15-years-to-life.

Spector was found guilty on April 13 for killing Lana Clarkson. Spector claimed that Clarkson shot herself in his foyer. According to BBC News, Spector's lawyer claimed that Spector was not responsible for Clarkson's death and that the prosecutor's case was based on conjecture and not the facts. Clarkson died from a gunshot wound through the mouth at Spector's home in 2003, according to Usatoday.com. the 40-year-old actress had just begun working as a VIP hostess at the House of Blues in West Hollywood.

The desire for sentence reduction comes from Spector's lawyers claiming the discharge of the weapon was accidental.
