Philbin to Return

Live With Regis and Kelly fans will have their man back very soon, after it was recently reported that Regis Philbin said he plans on returning to his daytime talk show April 26. This comes just about six weeks after Philbin went through a risky triple heart bypass surgery.

Philbin had called on the show, Live With Regis and Kelly, on Monday, saying that he'd been "through the wars" during his recovery, but that he has also been getting better by building up his strength again as he continues walking and lifting light weights.

While called in, Philbin also joked about his soon return, saying that when he gets back to the show, he won't be the "fun-loving Reej" that he was, once before, simply because his entire personality had been altered since his operation.

Prior to Philbin, 75, calling the show this time around, on the last occasion he complained about not having sex for 3 1/2 months. However, when co-host Kelly Ripa wanted an update on that situation Monday, she asked Philbin if that had improved in any way. Philbin then joked and said that it's up to about "five times a week" now.
