Philbin Will Return on 26th of April

Live With Regis and Kelly will have both of its stars back starting April 26. Regis Philbin phoned in this morning to chat with his cohost, Kelly Ripa, and reveal that he is planning to return next week. Philbin, 75, underwent triple bypass surgery last month. During the call, Philbin shared that he has been "through the wars" in recuperating from the surgery. He's been regaining his strength by lifting weights (light ones, that is) and walking.

He also kidded with Ripa that his personality has changed drastically, and he's no longer the fun-loving "Reej" he once was. This isn't the first call-in update that Philbin has given on his condition. He's previously shared with Ripa that painkillers have kept him awake at night, causing him to wander about his home shouting strange things, such as "I haven't had sex in 3 ? months!" When asked about how that was going for him now, Philbin joked that he was up to five times a week.
