After the shocking elimination of American Idol favorite Pia Toscano that left America stunned, news reports have swarmed the Internet curious as to what will happen to the beautiful 22-year-old singer from New York.

Thursday night’s results show opened a slew of heartbreaking comments from judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. Among them, Lopez stated, “I’m shocked, I’m angry. I don’t even know what to say.” Jackson added, “I’m gutted, you’re one of the best singers in this, you know what I’m saying?” Tyler summed it stating, “I don’t know. America, man. You know, a mistake is one thing, but lack of passion is unforgivable. They’re wrong,” he said. “I don’t know what happened with this. She’s beautiful. When she sings, she’s a bird.” Lopez also told Ryan Secrest on his radio show, as reported on E Online, "The only thing I can think was that people thought she was safe, as I did," the still-bewildered-sounding judge said. "I thought she'd be around 'til the Top 5, maybe the Top 2."

However, fans need not be upset. According to Access Hollywood, Pia has already been swooped up by a record label, and hopefully is on the fast-track to fame. Access reports, “Pia is being signed to a deal with Interscope Records who are rushing her into the studio to record an album ASAP.…It’s basically a done deal. She’s signing. They rushed everything but she’s so excited.”
