Piers Morgan announces that he is leaving 'America’s Got Talent'

Piers Morgan announced Wednesday on his CNN show that he would be leaving his position as judge on America’s Got Talent.

Morgan, according to the Los Angeles Times, was originally a judge on the British version of the show and has been hosting the American version since 2006.

E! News reported that Morgan was the only judge left from the first season of the show.

He has decided to leave the show and focus on his position as host of Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.

Morgan was also noted as saying that the six years he spent on the show were wonderful and thanked Simon Cowell for the great opportunity he received to be on the panel as a judge on the show.

A possible replacement for Morgan in the next season has yet to be announced by producers.
