Pill Scare and Paparazzi Attack

Award winning actor Alec Baldwin was taken to the hospital Thursday when he threatened to take pills during an argument on the phone. Later after being taken to the hospital and released, Baldwin assaulted a photographer outside of his Central Park apartment.

Apparently, his 14-year-old daughter Ireland called authorities after hearing her father say “I'm tired of this. I'm going to take some pills. I'm going to end this.” The 30 Rock star was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital and was released an hour later after finding nothing wrong.

Later in the evening of that same day in the lobby outside of his Central Park apartment, Baldwin was pacing, muttering, “They are the lowest scum of the Earth” repeatedly. The actor then burst out of the lobby and grabbed New York Post photographer Tim Wiencis crying out “This guy! This guy!” He was quickly pulled off the photographer and no charges have filed.

According to Baldwin it was all a misunderstanding. The only pill he was planning to take was an Ambien sleeping pill with no intention of committing suicide. As for his daughter calling 911, she was apparently coerced to by her mother Kim Basinger. There has been no comment from Basinger on the incident.
