Plastic Surgeon for Kanye West's Mom Loses His Medical License

Dr. Jan Adams gives up his medical license following two DUI-related convictions against him.

According to E! Online, the plastic surgeon has faced a damaged reputation after operating on rapper Kanye West's 58-year-old mother, Donda West, which led to her dying the next day, on November 10, 2007. She died due to complications from cosmetic surgery that involved a tummy tuck and breast reduction.

The California Medical Board brought charges against Adams in regards to two DUI convictions against him in 2003 and 2006. In court documents, Adams admitted that the allegations against him were true, which led to him surrendering his license.

On June 2008, Adams was arrested again for DUI and driving without a license. In January of this year, he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to one year in jail.

Adams is best known for co-hosting the show, Plastic Surgery Before & After, on the Discovery Health Channel.
