Please Enjoy the Music

The message on my cell phone was enthusiastic, "Mom, I see you finally figured out how to get music on your phone!"

You see, awhile back, I noticed when I phoned my son, instead of the usual ringing, I was directed by a pleasant voice, "Please enjoy the music while your party is reached." Then a song came on, one I recognized, a theme song from a popular TV show. I hung up and called him back. This time a hip hop song played, which I didn't recognize, but I really liked the beat. I called back a 3rd time, yet another song, a Journey tune, aah, a song from my generation. I liked all the songs I heard.

I asked my son if he could show me how to get songs to play on my cell phone. Yes, he said, he could show me how. It was easy. Would only take a few minutes.

Then I called my nephew about something, and I heard, "Please enjoy the music while your party is reached." I asked him if he could show me how to get songs to play on my cell phone. Sure, he said. It was easy. Would only take a few minutes.

Funny thing, neither one quite got around to showing me how to get songs to play on my cell phone. So, I spent several hours on the Internet, first of all trying to learn the difference between ringtones and ringbacks, but alas, I finally figured it out. I have to say the hardest part was deciding which songs to choose. So now, when someone calls me, "Please enjoy the music..." And if you don't enjoy the music, either hang up, call again and get a different song, or better yet hang up and don't call back!
