Police Arrest Hollywood Man Outside Pitt-Jolie Home
E! Online reports that on Wednesday afternoon, a man claiming to be a freelance reporter was arrested outside Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's home in the Hollywood Hills.
Los Angeles police brought Eric Ray Mitchell, a 25-year-old from Hollywood, into custody on a private person's arrest, similar to a citizen's arrest. Mitchell was arrested and his car impounded after the housekeeper at the Pitt-Jolie residence called police at 12 p.m. to report a silver car blocking the entrance to the house, located in the 5700 block of Briarcliff Road. The housekeeper also saw a man, later identified as Mitchell, asking people on the street where Pitt's house was. Pitt, Jolie and their children were not at home at the time of Mitchell's arrest.
Officer Karen Smith, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, could not say whether Mitchell was still in police custody at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were most recently seen together at the 14th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, where Jolie was nominated for her performance in "A Mighty Heart."
