Possible Co-Parenting Classes in Gibson and Grigorieva’s Future
Mel Gibson and his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, face the possibility of attending required co-parenting classes for the sake of their daughter.
Scott Weston, a Los Angeles based lawyer not involved in the case, said that if the judge has not already ordered such classes, he will.
“Judge Scott Gordon will do everything he can to get their situation under control, turn down the heat, and get both sides focused on the best interest of the baby,” Weston said.
Gordon was the judge to oversee Britney Spears’ high profile divorce from Kevin Federline, according to People.
Grigorieva, 40, and Gibson, 54, will probably be ordered to attend between six and twelve group sessions separately. These sessions will focus on teaching effective communication skills.
The criminal investigation involving abuse allegations against Gibson will continue separately from the custody battle.
Grigorieva claims that Gibson hit her in the face, damaging her teeth.
The controversy has intensified with the release of several audio tapes featuring Gibson yelling and cussing at his ex-girlfriend.
