Potter Book Breaks Pre-order Records
Harry Potter mania is in full swing. The last installment of the popular book series is set to hit bookstores on July 21st. The final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has broken the record, set by book 6, and become the most pre-ordered product ever on Amazon. The book has reportedly sold 1.6 million copies and there are still 18 days left until it comes out. The speculation on the fate of the characters, specifically Harry, is running rampant as the date approaches. J.K. Rowling has made it known that two major characters will die in the last book and everyone is looking for clues as to who they will be.
The book series, in total, has sold around 325 million copies worldwide. The new film, "Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix," will open next week. The movies have earned $3.5 billion in ticket sales alone. There are still two more films left to make; the last one is scheduled to be released in 2010.
