Jessica Simpson has shed many tears since being pregnant with her first child.
The 31-year-old singer, actress, and designer says that carrying a child is "crazy," but at the same time it’s an "amazing" thing to think about.
"Knowing that [Eric] and I created something inside of me is so crazy to think about," she has said, according to Contactmusic. "We love each other so much, and knowing that I love this baby inside of me is so amazing."
But Simpson, who appeared on Rachael Ray with her sister, Ashlee Simpson, on Monday, revealed there is one drawback to being pregnant: Her hormones have made her emotions run high and she cries a lot more now that she is expecting.
"That's the one thing about pregnancy -- I'll cry at the drop of a hat," she said. "Even a great soufflé would make me cry."
A more personal pregnancy experience had Simpson shedding the most tears, though.
"I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears," she revealed on the show. "It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"
Simpson is due to give birth next spring.
